What information do we collect? We collect basic contact details and any preferences you choose to share to facilitate effective communication within our texting membership.

How do we use your information? The primary purpose of collecting member information is to enhance engagement, provide relevant updates, and foster a sense of community within our organization.

Will your information be shared? We do not share or sell your information for marketing or any other purposes outside of communicating important updates or information about or organization; it will be kept private.

Will your information be secure? We employ industry-standard security measures, including encryption, to protect member information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Security of Credit/Debit Cards for Donations and/or Payments Policy

Greater Portland Baptist Church and Greater Portland Christian Academy often receive contributions as well as payments for services (example: tuition, fees for activities, etc) using credit/debit cards.  We contract with vendors to provide card services for these types of contributions and payments.  Our vendors are required to be compliant with all laws and regulations regarding card security, as well as following industry standards for best practices in integrity and data security.

It is the policy of Greater Portland Baptist Church and Greater Portland Christian Academy that we do not accept or retain cardholder data in any manner, either in paper or electronic form.  In the event of a security breach or potential security breach involving our vendors, we will work with our vendor’s security departments to inform and assist impacted individuals as directed by the vendor.
