National Day of Prayer - May 2

GATHER AT THE FLAG POLES - 8:30AM

LIFT UP THE WORD: LIGHT UP THE WORLD

National Day of Prayer – Thursday, May 2

For thou art my lamp, O Lord: and the Lord will lighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.  As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.  (2 Samuel 22:29-31)

In an election year, it is easy to look to political leaders for answers to our problems, and indeed we do have the responsibility to let our voice be heard through the political process and work to elect officials who are committed to govern with principles of biblical morality.

However, it is equally important to remember that the hope of our nation is not in government leadership.  The hope of America is found when God’s people turn their hearts to the Lord and proclaim the Word of God with boldness, with integrity, and in compassion.

Please join us for NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER as we GATHER AT THE FLAG POLES for prayer, Thursday, May 2 at 8:30AM.  (In case of inclement weather, this prayer event will be moved inside.)
