Good News for Greater Portland!
I just finished my studies and now I am ready to serve you as your brother and helper. I want you to know that my Doctorate degree is not to make me your boss. It is to help me serve you better. Jesus said, "Even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life for many people" (Mark 10:45). Ministry is my calling. I went to school for 12 years and finished three degrees: a Bachelor’s, a Master’s, and a Doctorate. While I was in school, I was also able to start five churches here in the United States.

Now, God is leading me to serve in Portland. This is the time to share God’s love and truth in this city. Let us work together to preach the Gospel and help people know Jesus. In Matthew 28:19–20, Jesus tells us to go and make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to follow His word. I believe this is what God is calling us to do in Portland right now.

Greater Portland Baptist Church has opened a wonderful door for this mission. My wife Almaz and I are very happy to begin this work with other great Ethiopian ministers. We invite believers who don’t have a church, as well as pastors, singers, and musicians, to join us. This is a great chance to serve God together.
